Riata West
Wallace Bajjali Development Partners acquired 148 finished lots in the Riata West subdivision (Barker Cypress Road, just west of Highway 290) in Houston, Texas, for the purpose of reselling the lots to Trophy Homes.
The project is located in Harris County, Texas, outside the city limits of Houston and within the extra-territorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston. The property is located on Barker Cypress Road, just west of Highway 290.
The property is approximately 62.76 acres in size and consists of 295 single-family residential lots with two phases (phase-one 148 lots and phase-two 147 lots). Trophy Homes ceased operation and was replaced by Gateway Homes in late 2009.
Riata West is located in the acclaimed Cypress Independent School District and within the town centers of Cypress-Fairbanks and Tomball. This area has seen tremendous growth in both residential and retail space. Across the street from the site are two new retail centers. The Coles Crossing shopping center with a Randall's and an LA Fitness Center is located just 1 mile to the northeast. In addition, HEB launched "H-E-B Cypress Market," a first-of-its-kind grocery store concept on the corner of Highway 290 and Barker Cypress Road.
The site is also located just 0.5 miles to the west of Houston National Golf Club. Featuring 27 championship holes, HNGC is rated as the #1 public golf course in the Houston area. In addition, within a 10 mile radius are 3 additional golf courses - Blackhorse Golf Club, Cypress Lake Golf Course, and Longwood Golf Course.
